CytoGrowth Solutions (CGS) is a spinout company from the Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI).  OBI observed that specific blood components were used by the cell therapy industry for tissue culture support.  However, many of these blood components are in high demand for transfusion, as well as for source material for tissue culture, making all these components in short supply. 

Using our knowledge of immunohematology and our scientists’ experience in biologics manufacturing, we developed new products equivalent to those in short supply but that now use new methods and raw material sources which allow large quantity, scheduled mass production. 

Over the past five years, OBI has provided the resources required to research and develop these new products.  Having been evaluated and affirmed by many subject matter experts and professional colleagues, these products are now being offered to cell therapy clients and tissue culture media suppliers.
