Creating Solutions for Cell Culture
Our Products
Universal Serum is manufactured to be an equivalent substitute for Male AB serum used in tissue culture. Using our proprietary methods, we remove naturally occurring Anti-A and Anti-B isohemagglutinins from the plasma of all blood types. The resulting plasma is then converted to serum. Available in 100mL or 500 mL bottles. Lot size of up to 10L.
Plasma from multiple donors tested according to requirements of 21 CFR 610.40 are pooled to create 3.6L of Pooled Human Plasma.
Leukocyte Reduction System (LRS) cones contain white blood cells removed from a platelet unit during apheresis collection. Each cone contains 1-2 X 10(9) TNCs. These cones have low concentrations of granulocytes and platelets but are lymphocyte rich. Our data shows an average of 1.5 X 10(6) lymphocytes with 50% CD4+, 25% CD8+, 15% CD14+, and 10% NK+. We provide three different configurations of this product: (1) “as-is” still in the cone, (2) transferred from the cone into a conical tube, or (3) ficoll processed and ready for immediate use. “As is” but transferred to a conical tube.
Our Universal Platelet Rich Plasma (uPRP) is produced via a patent-pending process using fresh, unexpired platelets. These 5L pooled containers are available for pre-order in bulk quantities. Each container contains 69 × 10^11 platelets (23 Apheresis platelet equivalents).
Our uPRP eliminates the limitation in hPL production due to uncertainty and limitation associated with expired platelets as raw material.
Off the clot serum from multiple donors meeting testing requirements of 21 CFR 610.40 are pooled to create 3.6 L of pooled human serum.
Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC’s) are processed within our laboratory to provide PBMC samples containing approximately 1 X 10(9) TNCs where RBC contaminates have been removed. These samples can be produced from donors with client-specified characteristics such as age, gender, ethnicity, or different HLA types.
Universal Feeder Cells are produced by pooling small volumes of donor-derived, ABO compatible mononuclear cells (MNCs), which contain low quantities of granulocytes and platelets. Irradiated MNCs are available in a 20 mL bag containing 2 × 10(9) total cells.
Pooling multiple donor cells increases HLA diversity and reduces donor-to-donor variability. Each unit is cryopreserved and stored at <-180°C, ready for immediate use.
Whole blood-derived buffy coat products are rich in white blood cells and platelets and are a good source of cells for research applications. Each buffy coat is suspended in approximately 50 mL of plasma and contains approximately 2 X10(9) leukocytes/unit. The leukocyte populations in buffy coat products are very diverse. Units have from 35-80% granulocytes, 20-65% mononuclear cells, 7-24% CD3+, 4-20% CD4+, 2-11% CD8+, 1-6% NK Cells, .03-.09% CD34+, and 2-12% Monocytes.
Leukopaks are sourced through community blood centers and can be provided in a fresh liquid form or cryopreserved. Each unit contains approximately 10 X 10(9) TNCs and is produced from donors meeting all FDA donor selection criteria. Each donor has been tested on the day of collection for all infectious diseases described in 21 CFR 641.Products are labeled using worldwide accepted ISBT labeling format and can be provided for research use only or can be provided meeting all 21 CFR 1271 GMP requirements.
Our Services
Along with standard T-lymphocyte enumeration panels, our scientists can develop custom panels and screen large numbers of donors. This service allows clients to quickly locate subjects that meet their specified criteria.
CytoGrowth offers white label manufacturing of Pooled Human Serum, Pooled Human Plasma and Human Platelet Lystate.
